Register an Operating Foreign Company
This service enables a foreign legal person to establish an operating foreign company branch.
Who can use this service
A foreign legal person wishing to establish an operating foreign company branch in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Prepare the following information and documents before submitting the certificate or extract request through the official service channel.
Requirements
- The registration of an operating foreign company branch must be connected to a tender awarded to it, or to a licence permitting it to operate in Jordan.
Documents and supporting information
- The memorandum and articles of association of the company at its head office.
- The company’s registration certificate at its head office.
- A list of the names of the members of the company’s board of directors, board of managers or partners, as the case may be, the nationality of each of them, and the names of the authorized signatories.
- A notarized power of attorney authorizing a person to register the company, conduct its business and receive notifications on its behalf. The decision issued by the authorized general manager of the company at its head office is accepted where that person is the sole partner in the company.
- The financial statements for the company’s last financial year at its head office, certified by a certified auditor.
- The official written documents proving that it has obtained the approvals necessary to operate in the Kingdom.

Application to establish an operating foreign company branch

The applicant logs in to the Companies Control Department website and selects Electronic Services / Register a New Company.
Create an electronic account

- The applicant enters a valid email address and a password.
- The applicant enters their personal information.
Select the type of company to be registered

- The applicant selects the company type “operating foreign branch” and specifies the company’s duration in Jordan (limited or unlimited).
- Where limited duration is selected, the applicant must enter the number and date of the tender or agreement, the expiry date of the tender, and the contracting entity, in both Arabic and English.
Enter the company’s information

The applicant enters:
- The company’s name in Arabic and English.
- The company’s nationality and the number and date of its registration in its home country.
- The company’s address in its home country in Arabic and English.
- Other details: telephone, mobile and email.
Enter the company’s objectives

The applicant enters the company’s objectives in its home country in Arabic and English, together with the company’s objectives in Jordan in Arabic and English.
Enter the company’s capital information
E-Services Portal
The applicant enters the company’s capital in its home country and specifies the currency of the capital.
Enter the information of the company’s representative in Jordan
E-Services Portal
The applicant enters:
- The representative’s capacity.
- Nationality.
- National number.
- Address.
- The details of the attorney under a notarized power of attorney, if any, attaching proof of identity for the attorney and a copy of the power of attorney.
- A copy of the civil status ID card for Jordanians, or a valid passport for non-Jordanians.
The applicant then saves the representative’s information.

The applicant may upload the attachments as the case requires.
Enter the information of the delegate authorized to use the electronic account
E-Services Portal
The applicant enters the information of the delegate authorized to use the electronic account by entering their national number, email address and telephone number, and uploading proof of identity.
Save the application

- The applicant selects the partners’ signature method (handwritten signature), accepts the undertaking and declaration, and then sends the application to be reviewed in the proper manner.
- Once the review of the application is complete, the applicant receives a message asking them to disclose the beneficial owner. The application then becomes complete and awaits attendance for signature.
Fees and processing time
Service fees
Company registration
- The Department charges a registration fee of five thousand dinars for registering the operating branch of a foreign company in the Kingdom.
- Publication fee: JOD 15
- A fee of JOD 10 is charged for filing any document in the company’s file.
Processing time
- Sixty minutes within one working day, once the application status has become complete and awaiting attendance for signature.
Additional fees, if applicable
Company registration certificate
- Once registration is complete and the company has been issued a national number, a fee of JOD 10 is charged to issue the company registration certificate.

The company registration certificate (the company information certificate).
Additional Note
