Assistant Controller General
The Assistant Controllers General support the Department’s operations across technical and developmental dimensions. They contribute to policy development, work planning, and decision-making, follow up on the implementation of decisions, and oversee the execution of plans and procedures within their respective delegated authorities.
Duties of the Assistant Controller General for Technical Affairs
- Contributing to proposing policies and developing work programs and plans to implement the Department’s general policy.
- Making financial, administrative, and technical decisions within the scope of delegated authority.
- Following up on the implementation of decisions issued by the Board of Directors.
- Providing opinions and advice to the Controller General on the effectiveness and application of the regulations, laws, and instructions governing the Department’s work.
- Reviewing and analyzing periodic technical and administrative reports related to the Department’s activities.
- Performing any other duties assigned.
Duties of the Assistant Controller General for Development Affairs
- Establishing practical principles and standards to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, assess progress and performance, and propose amendments in line with emerging developments and changes in the work environment.
- Developing the general frameworks and reference guidelines for preparing executive work plans and programs to implement approved policies, approving the most appropriate plans for achieving objectives, and reviewing results to ensure alignment with approved policies and plans.
- Supervising the administrative units and external offices to ensure the implementation of approved policies and plans.
- Making financial, administrative, and technical decisions within the scope of delegated authority.
- Reviewing draft reports on the Department’s operations and providing comments before they are submitted to the Controller General.
- Participating in meetings of the Department’s standing and ad hoc committees. Representing the Department, on behalf of the Controller General, in negotiations with economic sectors and official entities.
- Performing any other duties assigned.
