The meeting was attended by several members of the Association to discuss the Companies Control Department’s role in stimulating the national economy and enhancing the business environment.

During the meeting, Dr. Wael Al-Armouti outlined the Department’s key efforts to improve the legislative and procedural framework, accelerate the transition to digital services, and re-engineer procedures to simplify processes and reduce the time and effort required from investors. He emphasised that partnership with the private sector is fundamental to supporting economic growth, creating jobs, and increasing productivity.

Al-Armouti noted that promoting investment is a national priority under the Economic Modernisation Vision, through legislative development, greater procedural efficiency, and enhanced transparency and clarity in the services provided to customers.

Highlighting the Department’s key achievements in 2025, Al-Armouti explained that it issued 96,367 company information records electronically without human intervention, reflecting significant progress in service automation and reduced reliance on paper-based procedures. The Department also issued 19,607 copies of archived documents, demonstrating improvements in electronic archiving and more efficient access to documents.

He added that the Department processed 493,751 electronic applications in 2025, reflecting the growing reliance on its digital channels and its capacity to handle a high volume of transactions efficiently and consistently.

The number of companies registered electronically in 2025 reached 7,606, an increase of 18.7% compared to 2024, indicating greater investor uptake of digital services and their ease of use. Meanwhile, the number of companies whose registrations were struck off or cancelled fell to 1,338, a decrease of 26.5% compared to 2024. This points to fewer companies exiting the register and improved stability among existing businesses.

Al-Armouti also noted that 180 companies changed their legal status, demonstrating the flexibility of the procedural framework in enabling companies to adjust their legal structures in line with evolving business activities and operational needs.

He emphasised that these results were achieved alongside a comprehensive review of the procedures, rules, and instructions governing the Department’s work, strengthening investor confidence in the Kingdom’s business environment and improving the quality of government services provided to the private sector.

For his part, the President of the Jordanian Businessmen Association highlighted the Companies Control Department’s role in streamlining procedures and strengthening the investment environment. He commended the tangible improvements in company registration indicators and digital services, noting their positive impact on investor confidence in the national economy.
