Customs Facilitations – Non-Operating Foreign Company

This service allows a non-operating foreign company branch to obtain the required facilitation and have it recorded in the company’s file at CCD, once the legal requirements are met. It covers: bringing in a vehicle under temporary admission; exemption for furniture and equipment imported by the company; and exemption for commercial samples and models.

Who can use this service

Non-operating foreign company.

Prepare the following information and documents before submitting the certificate or extract request through the official service channel.

Requirements

  1. The application and required documents are submitted through CCD’s electronic services.
  2. Any document drawn up or signed outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan must be certified by the legal authorities in that country, by the representative of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in that country, if any, and by the competent Jordanian authorities, as if it had been drawn up within the Kingdom.

Documents and supporting information

  1. A cover letter from the legal representative setting out the action required.
  2. A copy of the company’s lease, valid and registered with the Greater Amman Municipality or the competent municipality.
  3. To bring in a vehicle under temporary admission: a letter from the company’s legal representative stating the vehicle type, year of manufacture, chassis number, engine number and capacity, together with the residence permit or work permit of the non-Jordanian employee designated to use the vehicle.
  4. For exemption of furniture and equipment imported by the company: an itemized list of the furniture and equipment required.
  5. For exemption of commercial samples and models: an itemized list of the samples and models setting out their nature and the purpose of importing them.

The applicant logs in to Existing Company Services, selects Filings and Legal Amendments, and uploads the required documents.

CCD reviews the application and the attached documents, verifies that the proposed legal amendment complies with the applicable requirements, and completes the necessary procedures and approvals, as the case may be.

Pay the fees due

Once the application is accepted and the procedures are complete, the applicant pays the fees through the electronic payment system.

CCD records the request in the company’s file and corresponds with the Customs Department.

Processing time

One working hour, once all documents and approvals are complete and the fees are paid.

Overall completion depends on the following stages:

  • Filing the required documents.
  • Paying the fees due.
  • Recording the request in the company’s file at CCD.

What you receive

The request is recorded in the company’s file at CCD, and correspondence is issued to the Customs Department regarding it.

Additional Note

1- The required lists must be attached in itemized form and according to the nature of the request.
2- The personal documents required must be valid.
3- The request takes effect in CCD’s records only once the required documents are complete, the fees are paid, and the correspondence to the Customs Department has been issued.
